Photographing Wildlife, to me, is the most difficult and challenging form of photography. To photograph an animal you will have to know and understand their habits and habitats. You should be able to understand and anticipate their behavior. You can never get an animal in the wild to pose for you. You can never get them to stay still. In a moment they can vanish. On the other hand, a photographer will have to know his equipment well. Be technically sound with all aspects of photography. To change the settings in a fraction to suit the behavior of the animal and to suit the lighting conditions is big challenge. The way the mind races, the way the heart beats at 130mph when an animal is sighted and the speed at which the photos are taken is in total contrast to way in which the mind is at peace, the heart is slow and the body relaxed while waiting for the subject to arrive. Two extreme states of the mind and body. Finally you have to travel. You have to have the right equipment. All this is big moolah……. |
